This literary version was initiated in 2014 by authors Annabel Smith and Emma Chapman. I was introduced to this idea while watching the 1993 film of the same name, but it actually originated in a short story called ‘Chains’ written by Hungarian writer and poet Frigyes Karinthy back in 1929.
